No, not the Teen Titan. This Raven was the narrator of Ralph Bakshi's short-lived, 18+ TV series, Spicy City. Spicy City was a science fiction/techno-noir anthology series set in the future. The rather enigmatic, sultry Raven would narrate the stories from her club, the Roost, and she herself would sometimes appear in the stories, often relating the moral of the story with the viewer. The episodes revolved around crime, sex, betrayal, and love in the grimy city, ranging from crooked cops to disappearing hookers to abusive relationships. The series only lasted six episodes due to negative reviews, with the last episode being Raven's origin.
Raven herself was voiced by singer Michelle Phillips.
Howard Chaykin created American Flagg and Bite Club, and has written some of the best Elseworlds stories out there. He's currently doing the artwork for Punisher and the cover art for Vertigo's Bang Tango.

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
